"This photo was taken at 0910-0917 when Yamato is under a rather intense air attack at the very end of the action. She had to turn hard to avoid torpedoes and note the huge bow wave and smoke from her AA guns. From the look I would say she is turning now hard to starboard which is why the starboard bow wave is so huge as she pushes the water away from her hull."
